The Dutch
Productions/Stratosphere Muzic Pretty Bounce Riddim is produced by three-time
COTT winner and Saint Lucia Producer of the Year Courtney “Curty” Louis and
Yannick “Fresh Prince” Plante. Released for Saint Lucia Carnival 2014, it
features music from Stratosphere Muzic artistes Ricky T “Nasty Pressure”,
Nicole David “Bacchanal-lay” and Jay Budz “She Tie Me”. Stratosphere Muzic
artiste Mongstar appears twice, first on “In A Fete” and again alongside
newcomer Boom! with “Lwil Koko”. Invader also makes his 2014 Stratosphere Muzic
debut with “Infront”.
Bacchanal-lay –
Nicole David
The last thing you
hear on “Bacchanal-lay” is Stratosphere Muzic artiste Nicole “Nicki” David
fading out with “I’m addicted”. But it is us she has bewitched on this one
written by her, Saveion Georges and award winning songwriter Courtney Louis.
Featured on the
Dutch Productions/Stratosphere Muzic Pretty Bounce Riddim, “Bacchanal-lay” is
produced by Louis and Yannick “Fresh Prince” Plante.
The lone female to
have ever been crowned Road March Queen of Saint Lucia, Nicki leaves no
confusion about who she is and what she is here to do. The self described
initiator who “gives the party flavor” – she sings, “I’m a misbehavior/I’m the
instigator/I am the party saver/miss a fete, me never.”
There is something
so right about Nicki combining her powerhouse vocals with a track produced,
mixed and mastered by “Curty”, swagging out on, “once is Carnival, once is
bacchanal/I will be there” – a promise we hope she keeps on this release for
Saint Lucia Carnival 2014 and beyond.

Infront – Invader
You heard the man,
“Infront” he wants it. A request from any other might give you pause but coming
as it is from multiple winner of Calypso, Power and Road March crowns as well
as Extempo and Buy Local King, Piton Gold Medal winner Invader – I suggest you
give way and let him have his way.
Working with the
Stratosphere Muzic label and award winning producer Courtney “Curty” Louis last
year, Invader gave the world the massive hit “Saw Him” (2013). This year he is
back with more of the same on this one that combines familiar nursery rhymes
with a bold request, “I want to be way up front with all dem woman/Infront I
want it/Just give me the front/Infront I want it/put me in the front.”
“Infront” is written
by Ignatius Tison and produced by Courtney Louis and Yannick “Fresh Prince”
Plante; it is featured on the Dutch Productions/Stratosphere Muzic Pretty
Bounce Riddim and is a release for Saint Lucia Carnival 2014.
Lwil Koko – Boom!
Featuring Mongstar
Ladies and gentlemen
meet Boom! So explosive is this young talent, his name comes with its very own
exclamation mark. A former competitor in the Piton Soca Starz competition,
Boom! is teamed up on the Dutch Productions/Stratosphere Muzic Pretty Bounce
Riddim with Stratosphere Muzic artiste Mongstar. The song is called “Lwil Koko”
and is written by Marley James and award winning songwriter and producer
Courtney Louis who produced it alongside Yannick “Fresh Prince” Plante.
The voices of the
experienced Mongstar teams up in true groovy perfection with the novice Boom!
bringing “Lwil Koko” to life. A blend of our beloved Patois and English, the
song is a nice mix of raunchy and substance.
Mixed and mastered by
Courtney “Curty” Louis, “Lwil Koko” will grease you up just right for Saint
Lucia Carnival 2014.
Nasty Pressure –
Ricky T
How about a ‘lil
“Nasty Pressure” from Soca King and Stratosphere Muzic artiste Ricky T? I don’t
know about you but that voice just signals Lucian Carnival and a good time is
here. “Steel pan beating/people dem whining/ the baseline pumping/ now people
misbehaving Lord” because is soca trouble the reigning Groovy and Power Monarch
as well as Road March King of Saint Lucia has come to cause.
“Nasty Pressure” is
featured on the Dutch Productions/Stratosphere Muzic Pretty Bounce Riddim. It
is written by Ricky Joseph and award winning songwriter Courtney Louis and
produced by Louis and Yannick “Fresh Prince” Plante.
Are you feeling
energetic and ready to get on “bad, bad, bad” then come sample, “nasty
pressure/we mad/nasty pressure/ we bad.”
She Tie Me – Jay Budz
The 2012 Piton Soca
Starz winner has opened his Saint Lucia Carnival 2014 season. Somebody say
“Madhouse!” and welcome Stratosphere Muzic artiste Jay Budz with “She Tie Me” on
the Dutch Productions/Stratosphere Muzic Pretty Bounce Riddim.
Written by Jonathan
Mathurin, “She Tie Me” is produced by award winning producer Courtney “Curty”
Louis and Yannick “Fresh Prince” Plante.
Jay Budz thrills on
this one with vocals so sweet they will make you smile while you groove and get
“stuck like glue” as he is to this female who has “tied him” – Saint Lucian
vernacular for anyone under the spell of a love sorcerer.
In 2013, Jay Budz
made it all the way to the Groovy Soca Monarch final with his “Your Boomsie”.
He is building on his reputation for delivering groovy anthems with “She Tie
Me” – a song that blends and weaves a spell where everything is as right as the
majestic Soufriere Pitons he grew up watching.
